This is a carefully selected Jiuta Kouki Shamisen that meets our strict assessment standards for used shamisens.

The neck is made of regular Kouki, so it does not have any tochi patterns, but it is hard among regular Kouki.
The surface of the neck was in clean condition with no wear, but it has been further polished. There are no noticeable scratches, and the overall condition is clean. (It looks as if it has hardly been used.)

The tuning pegs are genuine ebony (used), but they have been adjusted and hold well.

As shown in the photos, the body has a luster and is made of high-quality Karinki wood. There are no noticeable scratches or blemishes. The size is a standard 1.5 bu large.

We have applied superior double-sided dog skin (normally priced at 40,000 yen), which brings out the maximum sound quality of the shamisen.

The "ha" height and downward angles have also been inspected and adjusted.

Regarding accessories, we want you to use the shamisen comfortably, so all small items are brand new.

Currently, this shamisen would cost around 400,000 yen or more new at a retail store, but you can acquire a Kouki shamisen for less than the list price of a new Karinki shamisen. This shamisen is recommended for those who are just starting or considering upgrading from a Karinki shamisen.

Overall, there are no noticeable scratches, and it is in clean condition even among used items. However, as it is a used item, if you are concerned about minor scratches or color variations, we recommend considering a new shamisen.

【What matters after purchasing a shamisen】
A shamisen is also a consumable item, so after long-term use, the tuning pegs may wear out and become loose, or the skin may need to be replaced, eventually requiring repairs. We provide complete after-sales support, so rather than "selling and done," we offer repairs at a reasonable price and are committed to supporting you with any questions or consultations during your use. We hope to have a long-term relationship with our customers.

As we explain on our "Shamisen Knowledge and How to Choose" page, we do not recommend used shamisens (from auctions, etc.). However, due to the increasing number of inquiries in recent years such as "Can you buy my shamisen?" or "Do you handle used shamisens?", we have established our own strict assessment standards. We only purchase shamisens that meet these standards and sell them as used shamisens.
By setting strict purchase assessment standards, it is difficult to handle (prepare) many used shamisens, but we will provide items that can be cherished for a long time even if they are used. Of course, we will responsibly handle necessary periodic repairs such as skin replacement and tuning peg adjustments, as well as after-sales service after purchase.
*Even if necessary parts are maintained, used shamisens may have minor scratches or color variations. If you are concerned about these, please consider a new shamisen.

About Delivery Methods

For products marked with "Eligible for Trackable Mail" on each product page, delivery at 198 yen is possible. However, if the package exceeds the specified packing size after order placement due to quantity or inclusion of other items, we will switch to courier delivery (600 yen). Return and Exchange Conditions

As a general rule, returns are free within the specified period after product arrival. However, only unused items are eligible.

・If a non-returnable item such as an opened or used item is returned, 50% of the product price (tax included) will be refunded.

◇ Japanese musical instrument supplies... Within 5 days from arrival date (including arrival date)
◇ Musical instruments... Within 2 days from arrival date (including arrival date)
◇ Sheet music... No returns or exchanges

Note) If a used item is returned, it will be sent back collect on delivery, or 50% of the product price (tax included) will be refunded. (Full refunds are not possible)
For musical instruments (shamisen, koto), returns (within 2 days) are possible after playing the instrument, but please be careful not to scratch the instrument. If there are any stains or scratches, returns are not possible. *Shamisen made with synthetic leather are limited to unused items. (Shamisen with optional artificial skin are not eligible for return or exchange.)
(Returns and exchanges for all products will be refused after the deadline has passed.)

・Upon arrival of your product, please immediately check for any damage.
In the event of a product error, please contact us within 2 days of arrival.
We will refuse returns, exchanges, or repairs for product errors reported after 3 days.
In the case of a product error, we will exchange the item at our shipping cost.
For damage during delivery, please contact us within 24 hours of product arrival.
We will exchange the item under the responsibility of the shipping company, but compensation may not be available if a certain amount of time has passed since arrival.
