Marusanju thread (silk)
The "Gokujo" series of shamisen threads are most commonly used on stage and at recitals.
At Marusan Hashimoto, in order to make full use of the characteristics of silk thread, we go through approximately 12 processes, 19 in detail.
Most of it is still done by hand.
The Gokujo Suito series, which uses the finest spring silk thread, is made using a traditional method called ``koma twisting''.
This is the highest quality shamisen thread that is the result of Maruzan Hashimoto's tireless efforts and research.
