This is a carefully selected Minyo Kinbo shamisen (2-sun short neck) that meets our strict appraisal standards for used shamisen. The 2-sun short neck makes it easy to tune to higher pitches. (Since the neck is shorter and the distance between frets is narrower, it is also recommended as a shamisen for children.)

As shown in the photos, the neck has a lot of "tochi" (quilted grain) throughout, and the quality of the wood is excellent.

The surface of the neck has been repaired for wear, so it is in beautiful, new-like condition. Other parts besides the surface also have a beautiful luster and are generally in clean condition.

The tuning pegs are genuine black ebony (used), but they have been adjusted and can be used without stress.

This shamisen is currently equivalent to over 1.5 million yen if purchased new at a retail store. (The 2-sun short neck is being offered at a lower price than usual due to overstock.)

The body is a Komochi Ayasugi body. There are some minor scratches (a few spots) on the body, but they are mostly unnoticeable. They are hard to notice unless you look closely. The body also has a luster and is in good condition for a used item. The color of the body is as shown in the photos. The height and slope of the "ha" (bridge position) have also been inspected and adjusted.

We have applied premium double-sided dog skin (normally 40,000 yen), which maximizes the sound of the shamisen.

Regarding accessories, we want you to use the shamisen comfortably, so all small items are new.

Overall, there are no noticeable scratches, and it is in beautiful condition even among used items. However, please note that it is a used item, so if you are concerned about minor scratches or color variations, we recommend considering a new shamisen. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We aim to build long-term relationships with our customers.

As explained on our "Shamisen Knowledge and How to Choose" page, we do not recommend used shamisen (e.g., from auctions). However, in recent years, due to many inquiries such as "Can you buy my shamisen?" or "Do you handle used shamisen?", we have established our own very strict appraisal standards and decided to purchase only shamisen that meet these standards and sell them as used shamisen.
While setting strict appraisal standards makes it difficult to handle (prepare) a large number of used shamisen, we will provide items that can be used and enjoyed for a long time even if they are used. Of course, we will responsibly handle regularly required repairs such as skin replacement and tuning peg adjustments, as well as after-sales support after purchase.
*Even after maintenance on necessary parts, used shamisen may have minor scratches or color variations. If you are concerned about these, please consider a new shamisen.

About Delivery Methods

For products marked with "Eligible for Trackable Mail" on each product page, delivery at 198 yen is possible. However, if the package exceeds the specified packing size after order placement due to quantity or inclusion of other items, we will switch to courier delivery (600 yen). Return and Exchange Conditions

As a general rule, returns are free within the specified period after product arrival. However, only unused items are eligible.

・If a non-returnable item such as an opened or used item is returned, 50% of the product price (tax included) will be refunded.

◇ Japanese musical instrument supplies... Within 5 days from arrival date (including arrival date)
◇ Musical instruments... Within 2 days from arrival date (including arrival date)
◇ Sheet music... No returns or exchanges

Note) If a used item is returned, it will be sent back collect on delivery, or 50% of the product price (tax included) will be refunded. (Full refunds are not possible)
For musical instruments (shamisen, koto), returns (within 2 days) are possible after playing the instrument, but please be careful not to scratch the instrument. If there are any stains or scratches, returns are not possible. *Shamisen made with synthetic leather are limited to unused items. (Shamisen with optional artificial skin are not eligible for return or exchange.)
(Returns and exchanges for all products will be refused after the deadline has passed.)

・Upon arrival of your product, please immediately check for any damage.
In the event of a product error, please contact us within 2 days of arrival.
We will refuse returns, exchanges, or repairs for product errors reported after 3 days.
In the case of a product error, we will exchange the item at our shipping cost.
For damage during delivery, please contact us within 24 hours of product arrival.
We will exchange the item under the responsibility of the shipping company, but compensation may not be available if a certain amount of time has passed since arrival.
