·Carefully selected "(Superior) Karin wood" from Thailand, its home region We use superior-grade Thai Karin wood, itself considered a top-grade example even among Karin wood. Being extremely hard and dense, it is not only durable enough for long-term use as a practice instrument, but also has a beautiful luster to the body. It draws out the distinctive, beautiful tone of the shamisen.

·"Azuma sawari" standard, for dramatically better tone The pleasing sustain (sawari tone) essential to Min'yo shamisen comes standard with "Azuma sawari," which lets you easily fine-tune it with a single knob. This lets even beginners tune easily and enjoy a rich, resonant sustain.

A shamisen's lifeblood is its "skin stretching." At Wagakki Ichiba, we stretch the skin with the exact same craftsmanship even on a practice shamisen as we would on a premium instrument.

With an ordinary inexpensive shamisen, the skin is soaked only briefly before stretching, so while it may sound fine right after purchase, it quickly loosens and dulls in tone once it absorbs moisture from the air.

At our shop, we soak the finest-quality dog skin for a "long, deep" time, stretching the skin's fibers 100% to their limit. This process requires such skill that the skin will tear if done poorly, making it a feat only a handful of master craftsmen nationwide can achieve.

Return and Exchange Conditions

As a general rule, returns are free within the specified period after product arrival. However, only unused items are eligible.

・If a non-returnable item such as an opened or used item is returned, 50% of the product price (tax included) will be refunded.

◇ Japanese musical instrument supplies... Within 5 days from arrival date (including arrival date)
◇ Musical instruments... Within 2 days from arrival date (including arrival date)
◇ Sheet music... No returns or exchanges

Note) If a used item is returned, it will be sent back collect on delivery, or 50% of the product price (tax included) will be refunded. (Full refunds are not possible)
For musical instruments (shamisen, koto), returns (within 2 days) are possible after playing the instrument, but please be careful not to scratch the instrument. If there are any stains or scratches, returns are not possible. *Shamisen made with synthetic leather are limited to unused items. (Shamisen with optional artificial skin are not eligible for return or exchange.)
(Returns and exchanges for all products will be refused after the deadline has passed.)

・Upon arrival of your product, please immediately check for any damage.
In the event of a product error, please contact us within 2 days of arrival.
We will refuse returns, exchanges, or repairs for product errors reported after 3 days.
In the case of a product error, we will exchange the item at our shipping cost.
For damage during delivery, please contact us within 24 hours of product arrival.
We will exchange the item under the responsibility of the shipping company, but compensation may not be available if a certain amount of time has passed since arrival.
(Note) Damage caused by yourself after product arrival is not covered by compensation.
