The lavish, luxurious decoration of "genuine ivory, ivory tamabuchi trim (with single inlaid line)" The decorative sections such as the shibu-roku use a tamabuchi wrap (with a single inlaid line) made of high-grade ivory and Koki wood. All the white sections are genuine ivory, and the tongue piece of the kuchimae uses solid genuine ivory. There is almost no fading from age, and it retains a substantial, elegant beauty.
Noble "Aizu paulownia," which promises a rich resonance This koto uses Aizu paulownia, regarded as the finest of all paulownia woods. [About string tension]
As a rule, we tune the strings using the standard "high pitch (takachoshi)" tension.
We generally do not recommend the "high-low" (takahiku-choshi) tuning that allows for both high and low pitch.
The reason is that, to make low pitch possible, the strings need to be strung looser overall than usual.
In that case, there's no issue when playing in low pitch, but when playing in high pitch, the overall string tension is looser than normal, which means the tone can't be brought out to its full potential — a real drawback.
If you'll mainly be playing pieces in low pitch, we recommend the high-low tuning; otherwise, the standard high-pitch tuning is recommended.

About Delivery Methods

Return and Exchange Conditions

As a general rule, returns are free within the specified period after product arrival. However, only unused items are eligible.

・If a non-returnable item such as an opened or used item is returned, 50% of the product price (tax included) will be refunded.

◇ Japanese musical instrument supplies... Within 5 days from arrival date (including arrival date)
◇ Musical instruments... Within 2 days from arrival date (including arrival date)
◇ Sheet music... No returns or exchanges

Note) If a used item is returned, it will be sent back collect on delivery, or 50% of the product price (tax included) will be refunded. (Full refunds are not possible)
For musical instruments (shamisen, koto), returns (within 2 days) are possible after playing the instrument, but please be careful not to scratch the instrument. If there are any stains or scratches, returns are not possible. *Shamisen made with synthetic leather are limited to unused items. (Shamisen with optional artificial skin are not eligible for return or exchange.)
(Returns and exchanges for all products will be refused after the deadline has passed.)

・Upon arrival of your product, please immediately check for any damage.
In the event of a product error, please contact us within 2 days of arrival.
We will refuse returns, exchanges, or repairs for product errors reported after 3 days.
In the case of a product error, we will exchange the item at our shipping cost.
For damage during delivery, please contact us within 24 hours of product arrival.
We will exchange the item under the responsibility of the shipping company, but compensation may not be available if a certain amount of time has passed since arrival.
